SERVICES
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety for all pet. We use individualized anesthetic protocols for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. We have Propoflo, Isofluorane as well as Sevofluorane on site, and we taylor the anesthesia to each individual patient to provide the best anesthesia for that particular patient. A protocol that provides optimal anesthesia with the highest level of safety for your pet.
Bathing: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling, and aggression.
Boarding: We provide pet boarding for the day (pet daycare) as a service to our clients. We also able offer overnight cat boarding. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets must be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. Pets needing hospitalization for medical care or post-surgical care are kept overnight and checked regularly by our staff in the evenings and on weekends when needed.
Cryo-Surgery: Our hospital offers a NEW, STATE OF THE ART CRYOSURGICAL UNIT for general surgical procedures, dental surgery, and for easy/no anesthesia wart and cyst removal. The cryosurgical unit offers less bleeding, less pain, and faster healing, and warts and small cysts can be removed without anesthesia in most cases. The mole/cyst/wart removal without anesthesia is a wonderful addition to our surgical services in older pets with skin tags and warts. These can be removed on an outpatient basis without anesthesia!
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery. We also provide the newest in dental sealants and fluoride treatments to enhance your pet's dental health. Our newest product is sub-gingival antibiotic therapy to help save those teeth with severe gum loss and dental pockets of infection. This state of the art product is applied to the tooth under the gum line during the dental cleaning, hardens to a resin/gel mixture, and slowly releases antibiotic into the sub-gingival pockets to help restore normal gum and tooth health, and hopefully help save those teeth that previously would have simply been extracted!
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete healthcare needs. We have on site laboratory, allergy testing, urine testing, culture and sensitivity equipment, as well as our digital radiology system.
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
Emergency Care: Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.
Grooming: We offer PROFESSIONAL ALL BREED DOG AND CAT GROOMING in our state-of-the-art grooming complex right next door to our hospital. We have 4 grooming stations, custom bathing and the newest, gentle air drying systems to gently dry your pet while protecting the delicate skin and coat. Only the finest products are used on your pet, and all our groomers are professionally trained, and as always, we have a vet on duty at all times while your pet is being groomed.
Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard, and on your pet. We have a variety of flea control products for you to pick from, and we will meet with you to help you select the correct product for the best flea control for your pet!
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Online Retail Store and Pharmacy: We now offer retail items, prescription foods, and pharmaceuticals at our online store! This is our newest addition to our services, and one that will provide our clients with the largest array of products, foods, and pharmaceuticals available anywhere! Please click on the tab on the left hand side of the page that says ONLINE STORE to access this service.
Penn Hip Certified: We are fully certified for taking Penn Hip radiographs and submitting them for evaluation in the Penn Hip Program. It requires special advanced certification to be able to take and submit radiographs for the Penn Hip Certification Program. Dr. Mike Graves DVM has been trained and certified for this advanced procedure. We are also fully certified for taking and submitting radiographs for OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) Certification Program. Both of these procedures require anesthesia for your pet to get correct films for submission. We submit these films electronically with our new Digital X-Ray, so we get a faster turn around time from the radiologists.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.
Radiology Services: Our on site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art DIGITAL RADIOLOGY. This system uses lower exposure levels for less x-ray exposure to your pet. It is totally digitalized and uses no film, so we can utilize specialist consultations with the ease of an e-mail with your radiographs attached. Dr. Mike Graves is also PENN HIP CERTIFIED for submission of radiographs for Penn Hip Certification Program.
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We provide basic spay and neuter services, as well as declawing services as desired. We also provide advanced surgical procedures such as gastrotomy or intestinal surgery, orthopedic surgery, and many types of soft tissue surgeries. Dr. Mike Graves is also trained in ear cropping of all breeds (Great Danes, Boxers, Schnauzers, Min Pins, and Dobermans) and has been performing these surgeries for over 20 years. We provide full surgical monitoring with state of the art ECG services, pulse oximetry, and full time nurse staff present at all times to provide anesthetic monitoring and support to the surgeon and the patient before, during, and after any surgical procedure.
