Appointment Policy

Walk-in clients are welcome, however appointments are preferred. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority followed by Patients with previously scheduled appointments.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cash and personal checks.

Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. 

All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash. 

Prescription Policy

We are happy to offer the following options for our clients for any pharmaceutical item or prescription diet that their pet may need:

1)  The item may be purchased from our office and taken home for immediate use by your pet.  Items purchased from our office carry full warrenties from the manufacturer and pharmaceutical companies, and are obtained by our office from reputable companies that stand by their products and supplies.  These items and pharmaceuticals may cost slightly more than you can obtain them from on the internet, but they are backed fully by the manufacturer and pharmaceutical companies, and are available immediatly for your use, without having to wait for shipping and not knowing how your drugs or products were stored or handled, or where they were manufactured (many are counterfeit products or products made in other countries with different strengths and ingredients!).

2)  You may visit our ONLINE STORE AND INTERNET PHARMACY and order your products from our site.  These products are provided to us through the American Animal Hospital Association and carry the same warrenties and backing as products and pharmaceuticals obtained in our office.  We carry many items on our online store that we do not carry on site at our hospital, and these are shipped directly to your home.  Purchase through our online store also provides us with the medical record keeping that is legally required for your pet's medical records.  Some of the items available at our online store may be less expensive than those carried at our hospital because we do not have to stock those items on site, and thus we are able to provide some of thos to you at a less expensive price.  You will find the prices are very similar (if not the same) as those on other internet pharmacy sites....the biggest difference being that products on our online store carry full warranties and are correctly stored and handled by the Americal Animal Hospital Assocition before being shipped directly to you!  You can feel just as safe buying from our online store as from buying directly from our office. 

3)  We will be happy to write you a written prescription if you request one.  This prescription can be used at a retail pharmacy or other online store if you like...although as we stated above...we HIGHLY encourage you to either purchase the product at our office or from our online store so we can be assured that the products or pharmaceuticals are safe for your pet, and are effective for your pet, and are backed by the warrenties of the pharmaceutical companies.  Purchase of the products from our hospital or from our online store also provides us with accurate medical records for you pet automatically!  Written prescriptions  provided to clients (only provided to active clients with a current physical exam in the last 6 months on their pet) may be charged a small fee to cover our costs for medical record verification and medical record updates that we are legally required to complete.  Under NO circumstances will we sign a faxed request for a prescription from an internet pharmacy.  Faxed requests from internet pharmacies will be verified by our staff (verification of valid Indiana Pharmacy License and verification of suitibility for your pet and correct dosing for you pet) , and if authorized for your pet, will be supplied to the client in a written prescription form only that can be picked up at our office.  Again, in some cases a small prescription record keeping fee may be charged to cover the time it takes to verify the medical information for the pet, record all the information in the pet's medical record (this is legally required to be completed, if it is not a product that is purchased from our office directly or from our online store that supplies records to our office and to your pet's medical record automatically), have the doctor write the prescription, and contact the client for pick up.  Please note that if you are a Pet Care Plus Member and request a written precscription, then, because your plan provides free office calls , you will not be charged any record keeping fees while your pet is an active member of Pet Care Plus.  If you would like more information on enrolling your pet in Pet Care Plus, click on the "HEALTH PLANS" banner on the left side of the page.
